Miskiewicz, Jr., 78 of the Hudson section of Plains Township, passed away Tuesday morning, November 16, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Stanley was the son of the late Stanley W. And Helen C. (Cylwik) Miskiewicz. He was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, and was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving as an Interior Communications Electrician, 2nd Class. Stanley was employed for Topps Chewing Gum as an Electrical Engineer until his retirement. A man of great faith he was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, Hudson, until its closure and merger, and currently Saints Peter and Paul Church, Plains, where he served as a Eucharist Minister. He was a member of the Wyoming Valley Laymen’s Retreat League. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his Brother Gregory Miskiewicz and Surviving are his wife of 56 years the former Elizabeth Glazenski, Hudson section of Plains, Daughters Maribeth Popple and Audra Yanchuck, both of Plains; grandchildren Lauren and Julia Popple, and Michael Yanchuck, sister Judith Hall, Wilkes-Barre and brother Mark Miskiewicz, Centermoreland, many nephews and nieces. Funeral will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 9:30 am from the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street Plains, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saints Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, PA 18705 with Father John C. Lambert, Pastor, officiating. A live stream of the Funeral Mass will be on Saints Peter and Paul Parish FACEBOOK page. Entombment will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton section of Wyoming. Family and friends may call Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
