Stanley P. Rajza, 60 of Plains Township, passed away suddenly Saturday morning, November 16, 2019 after suffering a heart seizure at his home.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of Irene (Traini) Rajza of Plains and the late Leonard P. Rajza.

Stan was a graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1977, and Wilkes College, Class of 1981, earning his degree in Business and marketing. He was employed by his Alma Mater, Wilkes University, in the maintenance department and was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Church, Plains.

Stan was an avid sports fan, especially basketball. His favorite sport teams were the New York Knicks, the New York Jets, and the Los Angeles Dodgers. His greatest joy in life was being the biggest supporter of his children, following whatever sports or activities they were involved in. He also coached basketball at Saints Peter & Paul grade school, Wyoming Area Catholic, and baseball for Plains Little League.

Surviving in addition to his mother Irene are his wife of 28 years, the former Rose Cangiarella, sons Derek and Devin Rajza, and daughter Samantha Rajza, all of Plains, sister Sandra Tirpak and her husband Joseph, Wilkes-Barre, nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 9:30 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, PA 18705, with Father John C. Lambert, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may call Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
