Sandra Drevenik, 62 of Plains Township, passed away Saturday evening, September 10, 2016 at Golden Living Center – Summit, Wilkes-Barre, after a valiant battle against Cancer.

Born in Plains, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Jennie (Masonis) Klimek.

Sandy was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, Class of 1971, and attended Luzerne County Community College and Wilkes College. She was employed as an office manager for many years. She was also employed by Pickett Construction, Macy’s Department Store, and FedEx.

She was a member of St. Benedict Parish, the Parsons Section of Wilkes-Barre, and was a member of the Kingston Rotary Club, where she served as Club President from 2008-2009. She was a Paul Harris Fellow, the highest honor bestowed upon a Rotarian, Past Assistant District Governor of District 7410, where she assisted at numerous district conferences. Sandy was a very active Rotarian and was involved in many club projects including the Trail of Treats, Clothes for Kids and the Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army.

Sandy was a lover of all animals, especially cats and squirrels. She was an avid bowler and loved bowling on Chiazza’s Mixed Sunday Nights at Modern Lanes. Sandy also loved to travel, especially to Hawaii and Italy and enjoyed going to Car Shows with her best friend Gregg.

Surviving are her sister Eileen Maskinas and her husband Fabian, Plains, Husband and best friend Gregg Drevenik, Plains, nieces Jennifer Partash and her husband Joseph, Michelle Lasoski and her husband Rick, and Jessica Maskinas, Great-nieces Kayla Marie and Ava Marie Danko, and Sarah Lasoski.

Funeral will be held Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 9:30 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Benedict Parish, St. Dominic’s Church, 155 Austin Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705, with Father Joseph A. Kearney, Pastor, officiating. Entombment will be held in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton section of Wyoming. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
