Rosemary Anne Nardone, 86, of Plains, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015, at United Methodist Homes, Wesley Village Campus, Pittston, Pa. Born in West Pittston, in an upper bedroom at the family home, on December 19, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Denisco) Colella. She attended West Pittston schools, and graduated from Empire Beauty School in 1948. She operated a beauty shop in the Lazarus Department Store in Pittston, and prior to her retirement, worked for The Kiddie Shoppe at various locations. Rosemary was a loving wife and mother. She was a very generous and kind hearted lady. Her Italian cooking and baking was always a wonderful treat to anyone who was lucky enough to enjoy it. She enjoyed reading, especially the Harry Potter series, following the New York Yankees, attending Rosemary lived the last 3 months of her life at Wesley Village, prior to that; she resided in Plains for 47 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Pasquale DiMemmo in 1957, husband John F. Nardone, Jr. in 2004; brothers Sam, George, and Albert Colella; and sisters Sara Manganiello, Rose Colella, Matilda Manganiello, and Anna LeGough. She is survived by her loving daughter, Rosemary Nardone, of Plains; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 9:30 am from the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street Plains, with Father John Boyle, officiating. Interment will be held in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville. Family and friends may call Thursday morning from 8:30 am till 9:30 am at the funeral home.Rosemary A. Nardone
