Rose (Turoni) Migliosi, 94 of West Pittston, PA, passed away Monday morning, April 3, 2023 at Allied Services Hospice, Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre, with her daughters by her side.

Born in Pittston, PA, on July 13, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary (LoBrutto) Turoni.

Rose was a graduate of Pittston High School, Class of 1946 and was a seamstress working in the area garment factories until her retirement. A woman of great faith, she was a member of St. Rocco’s Church, Pittston, until its closure and currently a member of St. Barbara’s Parish, Exeter, and was a member of the I.L.G.W.U.

Rose was an outstanding cook, baker, and cannoli maker. She lived a simple life and loved to nurture and was very committed to her family. She and her late husband Bruno were avid New York Yankee fans and in her later years, she enjoyed going to the casino with her sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Bruno Migliosi on December 20, 2016, infant sister Salvatrice Terrana, sisters Fidella Guiliano, Mary Ann Granteed, Connie Dellaria, Angela Gill, and Lucy Calabrese, infant brother Jerome Terrana, brothers Sam “Sonny” Turoni, Jerome Terrana and Raymond (Terrana) Turoni.

Surviving are her daughters Helen Salvatore and her husband Angelo, Plains, and Rosemary Nerozzi and her husband Dave, West Wyoming, grandchildren Michelle Ankenbrand and her husband James, Renee Valenti and her husband Michael, David Nerozzi, Jr. and his wife Julie, and Brandon Salvatore and his wife Lauren, great-grandchildren Olivia Nerozzi, Angelo Nerozzi, Camryn Salvatore and Anthony Salvatore, many nieces and nephews.

Rose’s family would like to thank the staff at Highland Manor and Allied Services Hospice for the special care given to Rose.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at 11:00 am at Corpus Christi Parish, Immaculate Conception Church, 605 Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston, PA 18643, with Monsignor John J. Sempa, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, Pittston. Family and friends may call Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, West Pittston. Arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to Care and Concern Ministries of St. John the Evangelist Parish, 37 William Street, Pittston, PA 18640.
