Rose Flussi, 96 of the Hilldale section of Plains Township, passed away Monday morning, December 26, 2016 at Highland Manor Nursing Center, Exeter, PA.

Born in Hilldale, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Domenica (Biconne) Bartolomei.

Rose was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, Class of 1937, and was employed as a seamstress by Alter’s Manufacturing of Kingston. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Plains, until its closure and a current member of Saints Peter & Paul Church, Plains.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Armando “Ben” Flussi on March 21, 2002, brother Adelmo Bartolomei, sisters Edith Cardoni, Angela Bartolomei, and Erma Isopi, son-in-law James Yozwiak.

Surviving are her daughters Corine Piazza and her husband August, Jenkins Township, and Christine Yozwiak, Plains, grandchildren Jeff Piazza and his wife Krisa, Jenkins Township, Maria Kelly and her husband Nick, Kingston, Tracy Eslinger and her husband Dan, Kansas, and Lisa Yozwiak, Philadelphia, great-granddaughter Evelyn Eslinger, sister-in-law Josephine Bartolomei, Hilldale, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Rose will be held Friday, December 30, 2016 at 9:30 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705, with Father John C. Lambert, officiating. Entombment will be held in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville. Family and friends may call Friday morning from 8:30 am until the time of service at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice in Rose’s memory.
