Robert T. Petroski, 70, of Jenkins Township and formerly Plains Township passed away Wednesday evening, January 2, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center, Plains, after suffering a heart seizure at home.

Born in Plains Township, Bob was the son of the late Edward and Violet (Majeski) Petroski and was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, class of 1965.

Bob was Self Employed as a painter for 40 years until his retirement.

He was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War serving aboard the USS Oglethorpe and he also received the National Defense Service Medal.

He was a member of the Plains American Legion Joseph E. Conlon, Post 558, Polish American Veterans, Italian Club, Polish Club, Henry Club, and the ITLO Club, all of Plains Township.

He is preceded in death by his brothers Joseph and Paul Petroski.

Surviving are his Wife of 49 years the former Phyllis Rossi, Jenkins Township, Sons Michael Petroski and his Wife Jessica, Jenkins Township, Christopher and David Petroski, Miners Mills, Granddaughter Haylee Rose Petroski, and Best Pal, Snowy.

Funeral services with Military Honor accorded by the Plains American Legion and the United States Navy will be held Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 3:00 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc. 20 South Main Street, Plains. Family and friends may call Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the funeral home.

Memorial donations if desired may be made in Bob’s name to the Charity of One’s choice.
