Langdon, 76 of Plains, Township, passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 5, 2016 at the inpatient unit of Celtic Hospice, Geisinger South, Wilkes-Barre, with his family by his side. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Ernest and Beatrice (Ellsworth) Langdon. Bob was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1958 and was a Navy Veteran serving from 1960 to 1963. Bob then served in the PA National Guard, Battery A., 1st Battalion, 109th Field Artillery from 1974 until 1991, retiring as a Staff Sergeant. He was employed by James Egan & Sons, West Wyoming, as a metal fabricator for 35 years until his retirement. Bob was a member of the Plains American Legion, Joseph E. Conlon, Post 558, and was a former Boy Scout Master for Troop 100, Plains. He was an avid Norte Dame Football, Seattle Seahawks, and Duke University Basketball fan. He was preceded in death by his daughter Michele, sons Bobby and Tommy, Sister Lucille Kondrawski, and Brother Donald Langdon. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, the former Mary Margaret Antosh, son Jeff Langdon and his wife Christa, Hanover Twp., grandchildren Jared, Courtney, Julianna, and Joshua, Sister Patricia Leandri, Hilldale, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Bob will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street Plains, PA 18705. Interment with Military Honors will be held in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends and family may call Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
