Robert B. Czarniecki, 67 of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains, PA.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on November 13, 1954, he was the son of the late Bernard and Margaret (Bombay) Czarniecki.

He was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, where he was a member of the National Honor Society. He was previously employed by “the old” Sunshine Market, Modern Floors, and Biscontini Warehouse.

Bob resided in the Parsons Section of Wilkes-Barre. Otherwise, known as Bob/Bobby as well as Unca Bob to his nieces and nephew (in their earlier days) and Uncle Bob to his great nieces and great nephew. Bob was a simple man with the love of music, movies, NASCAR races, the Miami Dolphins, swimming and football. He loved cooking, baking and spending holidays with his family. Bob never said anything negative about people (politics, maybe) but not people. Bob will sadly be missed by all. Heaven is gaining a “good soul”. Mom and Dad, he is now with you!

Bob is survived by his sister Pat Jones and her fiancé Gene Kulon, and nieces Sandy Fraley, Amy Fahey, Tammy Watkins and nephew John Jones as well as great nieces Keila-Shae Jones, Maggie and Lilly Fraley, Emma Watkins and great nephew Owen Watkins, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff for the compassionate care and support they provided at this difficult time.

Funeral services for Bob will be held Monday, January 24, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705. Inurnment will be held in St. Mary’s of the Nativity Cemetery, Plymouth. Family and friends may call Monday morning from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the funeral home.
