Richard P. Kovitch, 86 of Blakeslee, passed away Sunday morning, April 19, 2015 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Cornwells Heights, PA, he was the son of the late Paul & Anna (Kaminski) Kovitch.

Richard attended St. Thomas Aquinas School in Croyden, PA, and was the owner/operator of Cozy Corners of Blakeslee for over 20 years. He was a member of Christ the King Church,, Blakeslee, until its closing and merger.

He was preceded in death by his wife the former Mary Ottinger on March 4, 2002, son Mark Kovitch on January 16, 2004 and his brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her Sons Richard and his wife Cathy, Dunmore, Paul and his wife Aysha, Stroudsburg, Guy and his wife Donna, Freehold, NJ, and Dennis, Pocono Pines, PA, 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law Marjorie Baird, Blakeslee, brothers Peter and his wife Cheryl, Port Charlotte, FL; and Christopher, sisters Shirley, Charlotte, Dorothy, Dolores, Viola and Maryann, all of Pennsylvania, many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 10:00 at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street Plains, PA 18705,with Father John B. Boyle, officiating. Entombment will be held in Sunset Memorial Park, 333 W. County Line Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Friends and family may call Wednesday morning from 9:00 am till the time of service.
