I worked with Jeannie at Denny's in the late 70s to mid 80s. It was my first real job and she taught me a lot about working in a restaurant. But the biggest lessons learned were the importance of hard work and being kind and hospitable to others. She was a mentor and friend and I'm honored to have known her. My condolences to the family on the loss of a great lady.

I'm so sorry for you loss. I worked with Jeanie 28 of those 40 years as an employee and her boss. But, (She always told me what to do). We were always great friends. I would always make her laugh when I would talk about coming into your grandfathers store and order one piece of penny candy at a time but then go back and choose a second or third of the same to get him riled up. No one could shop like or or better yet bake like her. She will be missed.
