Peter J. Tavella, 78, of Plains Township, passed away May 14, 2019 at River Run Health Care Center, Kingston, Pa.

Born in Plains, he was the son of the late Bruno and Rose (Capria) Tavella. Peter was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, Class of 1958 and attended Penn State University and Tool & Die School, Luzerne.

Peter was owner and operator of Tavellla Machine Shop of Plains for many years.

In addition to his Parents he is preceded in death by his Sisters, Maria Balsavage, and Antonetta “Joan” Shanahan, Brother, Fred Tavella and Nephew, Jason Tavella.

Surviving are his Brother, Tony Tavella, Thornhurst, Pa., Nephew, Jeffrey Tavella, and Brother-in-Law, Thomas Shanahan, great-nephews.

Funeral services for Peter will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by the Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., Plains.
