Pauline Evans, 85 of Plains Township, passed away Wednesday morning, February 17, 2016 at Celtic Hospice, Geisinger South, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Anna (Kebles) Balog.

Pauline was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1948, and was employed in the garment industry until her retirement.

She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Church, Plains, the I.L.G.W.U., and was an avid bowler.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Evans on March 24, 1986, and her daughter Roberta Jean Evans on May 29, 1999.

Surviving are her sister Celestine Wendolowski, Ashley, nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held Monday, February 22, 2016 at 9:00 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street Plains, PA 18705, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in SS. Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road Plains, with Father John C. Lambert, pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Byzantine Cemetery, Lake Street, Dallas. Family and friends may call Sunday afternoon from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
