Wojcik, 67, of Plains Township, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 27, 2022 at her home. Born in Plains, she was the daughter of the late George and Helen (Rehoski) Wojcik. Paula was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, and Luzerne County Community College. She was employed at Highland Manor Nursing Home, Exeter and last at Valley Crest Nursing Home, Plains, until her retirement. She was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Church, Plains. After Paula’s retirement she was never bored and had very diverse interests that filled her days and home with happiness. Paula was a true friend to all, had a great sense of humor and was a meticulous house keeper. She was a talented cook duplicating old family receipts and ethnic dishes that made you feel like you were back in your Mother’s kitchen. She was an avid gardener, growing many various flowers and vegetables. She truly had a “Green Thumb”. Surviving are her sister Sharon Wojcik, at home, her best friend “Snowy” and several cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 10:00 am at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, PA 18705, with Father John C. Lambert, Pastor, officiating. A Live Stream of the Funeral Mass will be on Saints Peter & Paul Parish FACEBOOK page. Inurnment will be held in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton section of Wyoming. Family and friends may call Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am at church. Those attending the visitation and/or the funeral services, the family requests that facemasks be worn at all times, regardless of vaccination status.
