Nancy was my stepmother, married to my father, John Thomas Burke. When I was a young girl my father and Nancy were granted visiting rights and I always enjoyed staying with them. Nancy was a great cook, and my dad loved having us both. Gradually my sister stopped tolerating being there and due to bad behaviour, she no longer went. I did so for a while but I cannot remember why the visits were stopped. After that my dad had poor health and Nancy would not let us see him because it was so emotional and upsetting for him. I never stopped loving my father though, and was devastated when he passed away in 2009 without seeing any of his 4 grandchildren. I know Nancy kept him very happy and did not want to disturb her by questioning her estate. Now she is gone, and so I expected nothing. But I was pleasantly surprised when, I believe, Gary showed up on my sister's doorstep with a lot of items of my dad's. I am sorry for the loss of your aunt to the entire family-I know I loved all my Aunts on my dad's side as well as my mom's and miss all of them. And I want to thank Gary for his kindness and thoughtfulness bringing the items to my sister.
