Michele Hivish, 60 of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, January 9, 2018 at timber Ridge HCC, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of Shirley (Shock) Ferenchick of Plymouth and the late George Ferenchick.

She was a graduate of Bishop Hoban H.S., Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1975. Michele was a devoted mother, wife, and grandmother, and her greatest joy was watching her children and grandson play sports.

In addition to her mother Shirley, she is survived by her husband of 41 years, Richard Hivish, Wilkes-Barre, children Richard Hivish, Jr., Moscow, Jeffrey Hivish and his wife Sarah, and daughter Jessica Hivish, all of Wilkes-Barre, grandchildren, who were the loves of her life, Jeffrey and Willow Hivish, brothers George Ferenchick, Pittston, Gary Ferenchick and his wife Christine, and Keith Ferenchick, all of Plymouth, nieces and nephews. Michele’s family would also like to offer a special Thank You to her beloved friends, Aunt Helen, Kristin, Terri, Joan, Jim, Karen, and Doran.

According to Michele’s wishes, there will be no public viewing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, PA 18705, with Father John C. Lambert, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may pay their respects to Michele’s family at church Friday from 12:00 pm until the time of Mass. Arrangements by the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.
