Michael D. Mooney, Jr., 43 of Dallas, passed away Tuesday morning, February 8, 2022 at his home.

Born in the Hudson section of Plains Township, he was the son of Michael D. Mooney, Sr. and his wife Gloria of Wilkes-Barre and Linda (Wachilla) Nickerson and Robert Nickerson of Plains Township.

Mike was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1996 and Kings College, Class of 2001. He was also a graduate of the Wilkes University MBA program in 2008. He was employed by Century 21 Signature Properties as a Real Estate Agent and a proprietor of rental properties throughout the area.

Mike was an avid skier who loved to travel and ski with his son. He was a Notre Dame Football fan and enjoyed cooking for his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife the former Holly J. Urzen on September 7, 2013.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his son Ethan Mooney, Dallas, Fiancée Jennifer Langdon, Dallas, sister Mollie Gisolfi, her husband Joseph, and their son Gavin, Duryea, uncles, aunts and cousins.

Private funeral services for Mike were held at the convenience from the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc. 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.
