Matthew DeAngelis, 27 of Old Boston, Jenkins Township, passed away Sunday evening, January 23, 2022.

Born September 15, 1994 in Kingston, he was the son of Alfred J. and Marian (Johnson) DeAngelis, III of Lehman Township.

Matt was a graduate of Lake Lehman High School, Class of 2012 and attended Penn State University. He was employed at UPS as a driver. He was a member of the Four J’s Gun Club, The International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 401, and was owner/operator of Matty Filmss.

Matt loved photography and videography and was very talented. He enjoyed cars, car shows and his Charger to show off. Matt enjoyed time with his horse Zane and dogs Max and Donna. He loved snowboarding with his sister and friends. Matt was the guy who loved everyone, and everyone loved him. He was caring, fun, kind, generous, and loving. He is the love of our lives and the one who brought everyone together. Matt loved making us laugh, he also loved family and friend gatherings. The world is at a loss now that he is gone.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Alfred J. DeAngelis, Jr., and his maternal grandfather James Johnson.

Surviving in addition to his parents, Al “Butch” and Marian, are his sister Jessica DeAngelis, Lehman Twp., paternal grandmother Sandie DeAngelis, Plains, Twp., and maternal grandmother Marian Johnson, Kingston, Aunt Carol, Aunt Emily, God Mother and Aunt Debbie Martin and her husband Keith, Aunt MaryAlice Johnson and spouse John Hartman, Uncle James Johnson and wife Amber, Uncle John DeAngelis and his wife Tiffany, Aunt Terri, His Noni Sue and all her grandkids, cousins, Carrie, David, Kathy, Kevin, Robin, Jenn, Renee, Ralph, Michael, Jacob, Kaila, Scott, Alex, Ian, Corey, Jimmy, Alysha, Jorden, Mark, Jake, Alison, Cam & Gunious. Matthew had a close group of friends he called brother and sisters Cody, Robert “Bobbie”, Caleb “Fudge”, Joey, Brandyn, Jordan, Scott, Dominic, Theologos, Jonathan, Art, Samantha, Kota, Larry, Mandi, Justus, Zack, David C, Lucas, Chris, David M, Ryan, Dale, Ashley, Brittany, Taylor, Heather S, Jenny, Austin, Dalia (Italy), Noa (Belgium), Laura, Katerina, ALL his UPS family, he love so many and so many more not listed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 28, 2022, at 10:00 am at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, PA 18705, with Father John C. Lambert, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in the Italian Independent Cemetery, West Wyoming. Family and friends may call Friday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am at church. Those attending the visitation and/or the funeral services, the church requests that facemasks be worn at all times, regardless of vaccination status.
