Krubitzer, 76 of Nanticoke, passed away Saturday morning, June 25, 2022 at her home. Born in Nanticoke, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy (Price) Stegonshek. Mary was a graduate of Hanover Area High School and Luzerne County Community College, Mary was deeply family oriented and was at her happiest when surrounded by family, both immediate and extended. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Dolores Hall, Suzanne Hillard, and Frances “Faye” Tenenbaum. Surviving are her husband of 41 years, Robert P. Krubitzer, children, Annette Halaburda and her husband Joseph, Hanover Twp., Paulette Anselmi, Nanticoke, Holly Krubitzer, Hanover Twp. and Michael Krubitzer and his wife Carrie Kirby, Queens, NY; grandchildren Devynn Tarity, Ruby Tarity, Noah Krubitzer and Jon Anselmi, great-grandchild Cameron Tarity; brother Martin Stegonshek and his wife Nancy, Jacksonville, FL, sisters Dorothy Ostrowski and her husband Norman, Boyton Beach, FL, and Dona Miller and her husband Mark, Shavertown, nieces and nephews. Mary’s family would also like to thank her caregivers. They are grateful for their compassion and kindness. Funeral services for Mary will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705, with Father Thomas M. Muldowney, officiating. Inurnment will be held in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Memorial Highway, Dallas. Family and friends may call Saturday morning from 9:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. School of Nursing. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Nesbitt Hospital, Kingston, and as a private duty nurse for nearly 40 years.
