Mary Carol Spagnola, 70, a former resident of Wilkes-Barre, went home to her Lord on Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, in the Rose View Center, Williamsport.

Born Wednesday, Dec. 31, 1947, in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Marian (Plioplis) Spagnola.

She was a 1965 graduate of James M. Coughlin High School and was employed as a secretary by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Mary had a great love for all animals.

She is survived by one sister, Terese, and husband Ric Williams, of Montgomery; five nieces and nephews, Brian and wife Linda Williams, Mike and wife Brandie Williams, Scottie and wife Nicky Williams, Melissa and husband John Giomboni and Jessica Williams and companion Nate Beaver. Also surviving are seven great-nieces and nephews, Sonny, Eva, Ruby, Kelsey, Isabella, Chase and Liliana. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by one brother, Tony Spagnola, and one niece, Anna Marie Spagnola.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, from the Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains Township. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre.
