Jackson (Murphy) May 25, 1942 - September 29, 2017 Service Date: October 3, 2017 Funeral Home Corcoran Funeral Home Inc Cemetery St. Joseph s Cemetery Church St. Monica s Parish Mary Catherine Jackson, 75 of West Wyoming, passed away Friday afternoon, September 29, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. Born in Plains, Township, she was the daughter of the late William and Marie (Brennan) Murphy. Mary was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Plains, Class of 1961. She was a member of St. Monica’s Parish, West Wyoming, where she was past-president of the Christian Mothers. She was one of the founding members and cheerleading advisor of Wyoming/West Wyoming Jr. Warriors, a Democratic Committee Woman and a Judge of Elections. Mary was also involved with Boy Scouts of America, Troop 366 and Cub Scout Pack 366, West Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her brother William Murphy, sister Ann (Nancy) Czock, and son-in-law Michael Rosengrant. Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Charles Jackson, children Charlotte Kenzakoski, Wilkes-Barre, James Jackson and his wife Sandy, Pittston, Joanie Goulstone and Ann Marie Rosengrant, both of West Wyoming, Linda Flanagan and her husband Michael, Laflin, Christine Mathers and her husband Stephen, Trucksville, Trish Jackson, Plains, and Chas Jackson, Wyoming, grandchildren Ashley Peters, Alyssa Goulstone, Charlie, Mark, and Joey Kenzakoski, Erin and Kelley Flanagan, Nicholas and Matthew Mathers, Tyler Jackson, Amarah Scott, and Emily and Sarah Jackson, great-granddaughter Adyson Jones, brother Thomas Murphy and his wife Diane, Hanover, sister Catherine Makuch and her husband Stanley, Wilkes-Barre, sister-in-law Martha Maurer and her husband Charles, Moosic, many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 10:00 am in St. Monica’s Parish, 363 West 8th Street, West Wyoming, PA, with Father Peter A. Tomczak, Pastor, officiating. Those attending the Funeral Mass are asked to go directly to church Tuesday morning. Interment will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Wyoming. Friends may call Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.
