Mary Beth Souilliard, 79 of Bear Creek Township, passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon, June 5, 2024 at her home. Born on December 19, 1944 in Saginaw, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late William “Jack” and Louise (Love) Hughes. Mary Beth was raised in Indiana, PA, and was a graduate of Indiana Joint High School, Class of 1963. She was employed at Daytimers, Inc. for most of her career, and last as an Administrative Assistant at Upper Macungie Twp. in Breinigsville, PA. Mary Beth was an accomplished seamstress who began making her own clothes at a young age. Her personal designs led her to win ‘best-dressed’ in high school, and later ‘best interior decorator’ in our family as she designed and created every curtain, table cloth, furniture upholstery and small appliance cover in our homes. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Everyone looked forward to seeing her with her family-famous monkey bread, black bottom cupcakes and fruit dip. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Clarence R. Souilliard on December 6, 2003, her son Brian Cronauer on February 15, 2023, and her sister Cindy Crisman. Surviving are her daughter Brandy Lewis and her husband Jim, Bear Creek Twp., son Bruce Cronauer and his wife LuAnn, Bradenton, FL, 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, brothers Jon Hughes and his wife Dee, and Rick Hughes, all of Indiana, PA, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mary Beth will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 6:00 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. Family and friends may call Thursday afternoon from 4:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Allied Services Hospice, 511 Morgan Highway, Scranton, PA 18508 or to a Veterans organization of the donor’s choice in Mary Beth’s memory.Mary Beth Souilliard (Hughes)
