Marie B. Brown, 88, of Acworth, GA and formerly of Plains Twp., PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at Brain Center Health & Rehabilitation Center, Canton, Georgia.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, Marie was the daughter of the late Anthony and Justina (Papson) Brown. She was a graduate of Wilkes-Barre Township High School, and was employed as a seamstress by
Bob-Ellen Sportswear of Miners Mills.

Marie was preceded in death by her sister Dolores Mrozinski, and her brothers John and Tony Brown.

Surviving are her sister Bernice Yencha, Wilkes-Barre, PA and her brother, James Brown, Wapwallopen, PA, several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 6th at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andre Bessette Parish at St. Stainslaus Kostka Church, 668 N. Main Street, North Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705. Family and friends are invited to go directly to the church on Saturday morning. Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Twp. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements by the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street Plains, PA 18705. No flowers, please. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
