Louise Marie (Jones) Price, 67, of Plains, has moved on to be with her husband and parents on, August 7, 2017, at the inpatient unit of Celtic Hospice, Geisinger South, Wilkes-Barre. Born on June 10, 1950 in Plains Township, Louise was the daughter of the late Woodrow Jones and Louise (Zdancewicz) Jones. She was a graduate of Saint Mary’s High School. Prior to her retirement she worked at Mr. Z’s in Plains, Aunt Mary’s Yarns, and Michaels. Louise was an avid crafter, baker, and gardener. She won many blue ribbons for her creations and her green thumb. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Joseph T. Price in November of 2014. She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Ann (Price) Jamieson and her boyfriend John Washington, Plains; Laura Ann Price and her boyfriend Kirk Cesario, Hanover Township; Kristen Morgan Price and her boyfriend Stephen Fath, Pittston; and a son Joseph Matthew Price and his wife Janet (Wassel) Price, Shavertown. Louise’s family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses and staff at both Timber Ridge Nursing Facility and The Celtic Hospice Unit in Wilkes-Barre. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 9:00 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA, with Father John C. Lambert, Pastor of Saints Peter & Paul Church, officiating. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery, Plains. Friends and family may call Friday, August 11, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Louise asks that in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the SPCA of Luzerne County, 524 E. Also surviving are her four grandchildren, Sarah Jamieson, U.S. Navy, Norfolk, Virginia; Joseph E. Price, Shavertown and Keyha and Evelyn Metzgar, Pittston. Brothers, Robert Jones and wife Mary, Florida, Fred Jones and wife Evelyn, Washington. Great Aunts, Theresa Kross and husband Ted, Hudson, and Sr. Magnifica Zdancewicz, CSB, Reading, nieces and nephews.
