Obituaries » Louis Ercolani August 24, 1932 - January 30, 2023 Service Date: February 2, 2023 Funeral Home Corcoran Funeral Home Inc Cemetery Mount Olivet Cemetery Church St. Therese s Church Louis Ercolani, 90 of Plains Township, and formerly of Bear Creek Township, passed away Monday morning, January 30, 2023 at the VA Medical Center, Plains Township, PA. Born in Isola, Perugia, Italy on August 24, 1932, he was the son of the late Tito and Emilia Ercolani. Louis immigrated to the United States at the age of 14 settling in Plains Township. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, attaining the rank of Corporal. He was employed as a Union Carpenter for many years until his retirement. Lou was a wonderful bowler, bowling a 300 game, was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed playing cards. He was preceded in death by his brother Mario Ercolani and his sister Irma Ribacchi. Surviving are his wife of 64 years, the former Shirley Rodeghiero, Plains Twp., daughter Cindy Olshemski and her husband Dr. Frank Olshemski, Shavertown, sons Louis Ercolani, Jr. and his wife Sharon, Downingtown, PA, Lee Ercolani, Danville, and Carl Ercolani, Scottsdale, AZ, grandchildren Stephen and Maddie Olshemski, Gaby McKain, Sara, Dana, Eric, and Joshua Ercolani, nieces and nephews. Louis’ family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, aides and staff at the VA Medical Center for the wonderful care and compassion given to Louis. Funeral will be held Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 10:00 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at St. Therese’s Church, 64 Davis Street, Shavertown, PA 18708, with Father James J. Paisley, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton section of Wyoming. Family and friends may call Thursday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Therese’s Church, Shavertown. Louis Ercolani
