Leona Malloy passed peacefully from this earth to reunite with her husband Joseph Malloy on April 24, 2018.

She was born on March 18, 1927 to the late George and Mary (Brinko) Ritsick in Plains, PA. She was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School.

Leona spent most of her 91 years being a housewife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was also caregiver to her 3 grandchildren. She enriched their lives with songs and games all day long. Roller skating and Big Wheeling through the house was never a problem. Family was her life!

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph E. Malloy on February 18, 2010, brothers John, Joseph, George, and Thomas Ritsick, her sister Mary Matiko, and daughter-in-law Su Malloy.

Surviving are her sons Patrick Malloy and his wife Tammy, Plains, and James Malloy, Pittston, grandchildren Melissa Chiucchi and her husband James, Katlyn Wolfe and her husband William, James Malloy and his fiancée Victoria Collins, great-grandchildren Gavin and Grace Wolfe, Jameson Chiucchi, and Madison Malloy, brother Gerald Ritsick and his wife Bernadine, Plains, numerous nieces and nephews.

She will be sadly missed by all of us. Fly with the Angels – Till we meet again!

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, April 30, 2018 at 10:00 am in Saints Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, PA 18705, with Father John C. Lambert, Pastor, officiating.
