Lena C. Pastorelli, 93, formerly of the Hudson Section of Plains Township, passed away, Monday evening, May 30, 2016 at United Methodist Homes, Wesley Village, where she had resided for the past several years.

Born July 22, 1922, in the Keystone Section of Plains Township, Lena was the daughter of the late Ricardo and Orsolina (Dominick) Pendolphi.

She was educated in the Plains Township schools. Lena, along with her late husband, Robert Pastorelli, owned and operated Dupont Poultry Market for more than 30 years until their retirement.

She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Church, Plains and the former St. Joseph’s Church,
Hudson. Lena was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister and “grand nonnie” to all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Above all she valued family most in her life. Her wish was that all her family, “Take care of each other.”

Lena was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, on November 2, 1990; daughter-in-law Bonnie (Shaw) Pastorelli; brothers, Frank, Levio, Paul and Raymond; sisters, Anna Sipple, Valia Pendolphi, Nancy Rutkowski, Daisey Charney, and Tina Stella.

Surviving are her sons, John Delaberta, Henderson, Nevada; Raymond Pastorelli and wife, Joan, Plains; daughter, Patricia Ledoretti and husband, Joseph, Plains. Lena is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, along with sisters, Olga Lotzi and Jeanette Gich, Keystone, and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank her doctor, Dr. James Tricarico, along with the nurses, aides, and entire staff of Wesley Village for the wonderful care and compassion given to their mother over the years.

Funeral will be held on Saturday, June 4th at 10:30 a.m. from the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in SS. Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains. Interment will be held in the Italian Independent Cemetery, West Wyoming. Friends and family may call from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, on Friday evening June 3, at the funeral home.
