To the McDonnell family, I want to show my sincerest condolences for your loss. When a tragedy like this strikes it can be very difficult to deal with. Many think that grief is not natural and should be put to a minimum. But I like how the bible portrays grief, not as a sign of weakness, but rather a normal human reaction. Notice how the greatest man who ever lived, Jesus reacted after learning that one of his close friends had just passed. John 11:34,35 "He said: “Where have you laid him?” They said to him: “Lord, come and see.” 35 Jesus gave way to tears." What is even more amazing about this is that Jesus knew he had the power to resurrect him from the dead, the later account showed this, yet it still moved him to tears. But why? Why did Jesus still cry? Think about it. Jesus knew that even though he would resurrect Lazarus now he knew win the future he would still die again. Thinking about him and the other countless humans that would eventually die brought him to tears. As Jesus is the perfect reflection of his father its comforting to know that God feels this way too. But if that's so why is the world the way it is? Why people still dying? If you would like to find the answers to those questions and help with grief please visit the free website JW.ORG. It has countless amount of information that helps older ones and people of all ages to help with grief. Sincerely, Kristopher Weinert
