I worked with Katie for years at the Luzerne County Detention Center as I was a probation officer. She had a calming effect on me every time my Irish temper would rise with the young people who gave me a hard time. She would say "calm down, everything will work out. She had great faith. My condolences to the family and I will never forget her. Rest In Peace Dear Friend

Kathleen (and her late husband, Bill) will be fondly remembered by many Irish teachers. They acted as weekend hosts for many years and welcomed teachers into their home. In recent years Kathleen always attended the Ladies AOH function which welcomed us to Wilkes-Barre. Ar dheis De go raibh a h-ainm. May her soul be at God's right hand.
