Josephine Barbara “Jo” Davis, 88 of Hanover Township, passed away peacefully at her home on the morning of February 28, 2021.

Born in Plains Township, she was the daughter of the late Walenty and Michalina (Ramus) Kowalski.

Jo was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, and was employed as a seamstress at Leslie Fay, Plains, and Vanity Fair, Milton, Florida, while living in Pensacola, Florida. She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U. and Saints Peter & Paul Church, Plains.

Jo was preceded in death by her husband Fred M. Davis on December 9, 1980, son Edward Davis in 1958, sisters Sophie Swiecicki and her husband Stanley, Stella Collins and her husband Ed, brothers Stanley Kowalski and his wife Peggy, Benjamin Kowalski and his wife Florence, Thaddeus “Ted” Kowalski and his wife Betty, and John Kowalski and his wife Ruth.

Surviving are her daughter Debra Radcliffe, with whom she resided, son Fred J. Davis and his wife Jean, Shavertown, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Bill MacLunny, and his children Bill, Amanda, and Amelia; Danielle Piontkowski, her husband Ralph, and their children Matthew, Jared, and Seth; Mark MacLunny, his wife Brandy, and their children Josh and Nicholas; Kristine Klopp, her husband Doug, and their children Madison, Hayden, and Ava; and Eric Davis and his partner Kristen; several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 10:00 am at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, PA 18705, with Father John C. Lambert, Pastor, officiating. A live stream of the Funeral Mass will be on Saints Peter & Paul Parish FACEBOOK page. Private family inurnment will be held in the parish cemetery. Family and friends may call from 9:00 am until the time of mass Wednesday.

Those attending the visitation and/or funeral mass, we ask that you be brief when paying your respects, please follow the practice of social distancing, and masks are required at all times at church.
