Obituaries » Joseph W. Lapinski November 18, 1931 - June 8, 2022 Funeral Home Corcoran Funeral Home Inc Joseph W. Lapinski, 90 and formerly of Bear Creek Township, passed away Wednesday evening, June 8, 2022 at The Gardens at Orangeville, Orangeville, PA. Born in Kingston on November 18, 1931, he was the son of the late Walter and Bridget (Haddick) Lapinski. Joe was a graduate of Swoyersville High School, and was employed as a Pennsylvania State Trooper for 34 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Frank Albert Lodge #43, the National Rifle Association and the Bear Creek Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, the former Barbara A. Stanski on April 20, 2020, brother Frank Lapinski, and sisters Irene Randazzo and Eleanor Hizney. Joe’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, aides and staff at The Gardens at Orangeville for the wonderful compassion and care given to Joe in his final days. Also a special thank you to Joe’s sister-in-law Louise for her dedication as caregiver to Joe’s wife Barb until her passing. Surviving are his sons David Lapinski and his wife Lara, Benton, and Barry Lapinski and his wife Tracey, Mountain Top, grandchildren Abigail, Brooke, Nicholas, and Kendall Lapinski, niece Jean Picello and nephew James Randazzo. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family from the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705. Memorial donations may be made to Janet Weis Children’s Hospital, 100 N. Academy Avenue, Danville, PA 17822 in Joseph’s memory. Joseph W. Lapinski
