Joseph J. Kotulski, Sr., 59 of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Monday afternoon, February 16, 2015 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Luzerne, he was the son of the late Stanley and Elizabeth (Cheskiewicz) Kotulski.

Joe attended G.A.R. Memorial High School, and was employed as a machinist for HPG & I2M of Mountaintop for 34 years.

Joe was a loving husband and the best Grandpa and “Pop Joe”. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was the best Dad anyone could ask for. He was always thinking about and helping others. He was a hard worker, but loved to have fun. He and his wife Debbie, who he loved to go to the casino with, celebrated 33 years of marriage on October 24, 2014. He had a passion for grilling and experimenting in the kitchen. Joe will be truly missed.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Jerry, Robert, Sr., William “Butchie” and Richard Kotulski.

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, the former Debbie Anderson, children Anita Hunzer and her husband Brian, Wilkes-Barre, and Joseph Kotulski, Jr. and his wife Natalie, Forty Fort, Step-daughters Candice Warnagiris and her husband George, Jr., Plains, Brenda Keblish and her husband Eric, Wilkes-Barre, and Debi Spencer and her Fiancé Brad Montgomery, Sr., Parsons, grandchildren Brian Hunzer, Jr., Paige Elizabeth Hunzer, Destiny and Arianna Warnagiris, Erycka Keblish, and Brad “Moose” Montgomery, Jr., brother Stanley Kotulski, Luzerne, sisters Betty “Sissy” McAdarra, Tobyhanna, Rose Basta and her husband Nick, Temecula, California, and Linda Thomas, Philadelphia, his Best Buddy Snickers, his faithful beagle, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Joe will be held Thursday evening, February 19, 2015 at 7:00 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street Plains, PA 18705. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Family and friends may call Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
