Joseph J. Cicierski, Jr., 75 of Plains, Twp., passed away Thursday morning, April 21, 2016 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital with his family by his side.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Ann (Wilgus) Cicierski, Sr.

Joe was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Plains, Class of 1958 and was an Air Force Veteran serving from 1958 to 1962. He was employed by UPS as a truck driver for many years until his retirement. He was a member of International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 401, Wilkes-Barre.

Joe was an avid fisherman and loved to fish any lake in New York. He was a proud grandfather and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years the former Barbara Sewastynowicz (Savage) children Paula Wick and her husband Carl, Gastonia, NC, Joseph J. Cicierski, III and his wife Lori, Harding, Marc Cicierski and his wife Jennifer, Plains, and Jake Cicierski and his wife Sarah, Laflin, grandchildren Marc, Jr., Kimberly, Samantha, and Alexandra, sisters Lorraine Pipech and her husband Richard, Wapwallopen, and Marie Wallace and her husband Joe, Wilkes-Barre.

Funeral arrangement will be private and held at the convenience of the family from the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street Plains, PA 18705.
