McKeown family. I am so sorry to hear of your Fathers passing. He was a wonderful man! He was a patient of mine through Erwine & I’m so glad to have met him! He brought such joy to my days I would see him! I looked forward to seeing twice a week. His quick wit, amazing sense of humor and his true compassion for everyone is something I will always remember! Joe, I know you’re up in heaven making everyone smile ! You will be greatly missed !

I send my deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Joe McKeown. Joe was a wonderful man and an especially wonderful father. I met Joe on many occasions through the Irish teacher's programme and was greatly impressed by his love of his country and of Ireland. His great stories and sense of humour always shone through. My life was richer for having met Joe. May he rest in eternal peace.

I would like to extend my sincere sympathy to the family and friends of the late , wonderful Joe McKeown on his passing. I had the privilege of knowing Koe through the Irish Teachers programme and I knew him as a friendly, kind, thoughtful and considerate man who was faithful to his family. Words can’t express the loss of such a man, and his amazing life speaks for itself. He is an example to us all. May he Rest In Peace. It was my honor to know him. Sympathy and love to his family, sincerely, Brenda xx

Very sad to read this news about Joe. Condolences to his family especially to his beloved Tommy. I met Joe on a number of occasions on visits to Wilkes-Barre and on a few times on his visits to our school in Laytown, Co. Meath, Ireland. Joe was a gentleman to his finger tips and oh so proud of his Irish heritage. Donegal was his favourite county where his family originated. He served his country with great distinction and pride - a true patriot - and then had a wonderful career in the printing business. Wilkes Barre and the extended McKeown family are mourning today but Joe's great faith must give them hope that he is gone to serve his Maker in Heaven. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis! (May he rest in peace). Maurice Daly.
