Joseph E. Bronack

Joseph E. Bronack, 66 of the Hilldale section of Plains Township, passed away Wednesday evening, December 28, 2022 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains, after a courageous battle against Multiple System Atrophy (MSA).

Born in Wilkes-Barre on February 11, 1956, he was the son of the late Joseph E. and Nancy (Santarelli) Bronack, Sr.

Joe was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1974, and was employed as a laborer and last as a group leader at Inter Metro, Wilkes-Barre, until his retirement.  Joe also worked at Sheehans Pharmacy, Plains.

Joe was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Church, Plains, and the Polish American Veterans, Hudson.  He was a PIAA Baseball Umpire and was an avid golfer and hunter.

He and his wife the former Deborah Segeda, celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on August 20, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his sister Sandra Winter.

Surviving in addition to his wife Debbie are his children Eric Bronack, President of JDP, and his wife Atty. Candice Bronack, Pittsburgh, and Sarah Cipoletti, PharmD, and her husband Richard Cipoletti, DPT, Dallas, grandchildren Holden and Charlie Bronack, and Richie and Libby Cipoletti, brother Jeffrey Bronack and his wife Lynn, Plains, uncle and Godfather Paul Santarelli and his wife Florence, Hudson, and aunt Delphine Biondi, Plains, nieces and nephews.

Joe’s family would like to offer a very special thank you to Joe’s in-laws, Tom and Sharon Segeda and Jeff and Alexis Segeda for all of their care, compassion, and daily help, Joe’s cousins for their phone calls, texts, and special visits to lift Joe’s sprits, Joe’s neighbors, Ray and Joan Pastorelli, and dear friends, Deb and Joe Michalek for always being there for a helping hand and their friendship, and their  army of friends and family praying for Joe and his family.  Also a special thank you to Joe’s Doctors, Dr. Frank Olshemski and his staff, Dr. Alexander Pantelyat, PCU & ICU Doctors and staff at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Associated Family Home Care, and CIP Rehab for the wonderful care and compassion given to Joe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 10:00 am at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, PA  18705, with Father John C. Lambert, Pastor, officiating.  A Live Stream of the Funeral Mass will be on Saints Peter & Paul Parish FACEBOOK page.  Those attending the funeral mass and burial, please go directly to church, Saturday morning.  Interment will be held in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton section of Wyoming.  Family and friends may call Friday evening, December 30, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA  18705.
