I was so saddened to hear of John's passing. I was blessed to have him accompany our choir at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Bristol RI on many occassions. He was a consumate professional who will surely be missed. He is probably serenading the angels in heaven with his oboe. God Bless! Your shoes will be tough to fill. Prayers to his family.

Today I was saddened by the news of John's passing. John was an amazing man and musician whom I will miss dearly. He was teacher when I was in YPSORI and then my fellow musician as we played together for many years as a duet of violin and oboe. I cherish all the good times we had and there were so many. He was not only a dear friend but taught me so much about music as well as life. Playing a gig wasn't work when we were together , we always had such a great time filled with laughs.. John will always hold a special place in my heart and I will never forget him. Rest in peace " Swoboe" , serenade the angels with your amazing talent...love ya !!
