Born in Pokrzywnica, Poland, she was the daughter of the late Antoni and Rozalia(Petrykowska) Zych of Plains Township. Jean immigrated to the United States at the age of 6 settling in Miners’ Mills, PA. She attended city schools and was employed as a waitress at the American Legion in Plains, worked at the Plains Garment Factory, Saint Peter and Paul’s School Cafeteria, Senior Corps and at Commission on Economic Opportunity (CEO). She loved to dance, sing and help people. Her favorite singer and songs were from the Polish Prince, Bobby Vinton. She loved life and she was devoted to her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her late husbands, John Senchak and William (Bill) Kocher; Son – Richard (Rick) Senchak, Daughter – Patricia (Sandy) Senchak McCarty; Brothers -Anthony Zych and Joseph Zych; Sisters – Angie Acquilana & Helen Popielarski and great-great grandson Christian Senchak. Surviving are her son John (Jack) Senchak from Poway, CA, Sister Rose Marcinko from Plains, (5) grandchildren, Erin McCarty, Susan Ishmael, Sara Khan, Nancy Love & John Senchak, (7) Great-grandchildren, Alanna Senchak, Joshua Senchak, Nathan Love, Safia, Sami & Mia Ishmael & Nadia Khan, (2) great-great-grandchildren – Isabella & Norah Senchak, several nephews and nieces. Funeral will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at 9:30 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, PA, 18705, with Father John C. Lambert, Pastor, officiating. Interment will be held in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton section of Wyoming. Family and friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
