Janice Skelly

Janice Skelly, 87 of Lansdale, PA, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, November 7, 2023 at her home.

Born on February 15, 1936 in South Wilkes-Barre, PA, she was the daughter of the late Terrance A. and Agnes (Corcoran) Brennan.

Janice was a graduate of St. Nicholas High School, Wilkes-Barre Business College, and was a homemaker all of her life. Prior to living in Lansdale for the last 15 years, she resided in Edison, New Jersey for 42 years.

Janice was an avid Costco shopper. She collected candles, seasonal decorations and knickknacks. Saturdays were spent watching Notre Dame Football games and Sundays were reserved for her beloved Philadelphia Eagles.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Basil “Bud” J. Skelly on June 27, 2004, her son Shawn T. Skelly on November 11, 2022, and brother Paul Brennan.

Surviving are her son Brian Skelly and his wife Elizabeth, Bel Air, Maryland,  Grandson Connor Skelly and his wife Dana, Bel Air, Maryland, Great Grandchild, Croia Mairead Skelly, and brother Terrance Brennan, Baltimore, Maryland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 13, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Nicholas Church, 226 South Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701.  Those attending the funeral services, please go directly to church Monday morning.  Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.  Family and friends may call Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA  18705.
