Obituaries » James Thomas Brice November 11, 1934 - January 7, 2017 Service Date: January 10, 2017 Funeral Home Corcoran Funeral Home Inc Cemetery Sacred Heart Cemetery Church Saints Peter and Paul Church James Thomas Brice, 82 of Plains Township, passed away Saturday morning, January 7, 2017 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Victor and Winifred (Oliver) Brice. Tom was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Plains, Class of 1953, and attended Rider College, Lawrence, New Jersey. He was a Navy Veteran during the Korean Conflict, serving aboard the U.S.S. Wisconsin. He was employed as a supervisor at General Motors, Trenton, New Jersey, until his retirement in 1990. Tom was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Plains, until its closure and merger with Saints Peter & Paul Church, Plains. He was a Boy Scout Leader of Troop 92, and a St. Joseph’s Bingo Worker, both of Levittown, PA. He was preceded in death by his brothers Sgt. Victor Brice, who was killed in action during the Korean Conflict, Cpl. Robert Brice, who was killed in action during the Vietnam War, and his twin brother Joseph Brice, sisters Mary Kathryn Tvorak, Rose Helen Sweeney, and Anne Marie Kriczar. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, the former Rosemary C. Murphy, Plains, daughters Mary Theresa Schwenk and her husband Roger, Emmaus, PA, and Sharon Brice, Burlington, NJ, sons James Thomas Brice, Jr. and his wife Karen, Bethlehem, Raymond Brice and his wife Irene, Fairless Hills, PA, and Michael Brice and his wife Valerie, Myrtle Beach, SC, 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sister Mildred Brice, Laflin, brothers William Brice, Clermont, FLA, and Michael Brice and his wife Sarah, Lexington, KY, many nieces and nephews. Funeral will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at 9:00 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in Saints Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains. Interment will be held in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Plains. Family and friends may call Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
