James T. Brice, Jr., a man “so bright his mommy called him son”, has graduated from this earth and is now wreaking havoc in heaven with his practical jokes and dad jokes. Perhaps joined in his escapades would be his Father, James Sr., who preceded him into heaven. He will be sorely missed by his Mother Rosemary Brice (Murphy) who happily passed on his antics to his wife Karen (Allen) of 41 years.

People have often asked how she put up with it, but they had 4 children to spread out his reign of mischief on. Son “JT” James, III of Copley, daughter in love Jessica (Lanier) of Wilmington, NC, Son “Mi Hijo” Justin and his wife Brittany (Hewitt), Daughters Holly Horoff and “Pumpernickle” Dorothy of Bethlehem and “adopted son” Doug Warren of Bethlehem and many others who called him Dad, Papa or Pops will miss him but will continue with his example with their own quick-witted ways.

His rare form of comedy will be missed by his siblings Mary Theresa Schwenk and her husband, Jim’s best friend, Roger of Emmaus, Sharon Brice of Burlington NJ, Raymond, and his wife Irene (Csejtey) of Fairless Hills, Michael and his wife Valerie (Lewis) of Myrtle Beach, SC, and his precious granddaughter Skylaar Brice who he loved to play guitar with. His many nieces and nephews will miss the time he made for them offering side car rides around the block or just an ear to listen.

Jim was a long-time member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association where he held many offices and was able to behave himself most of the time. He loved to ride motorcycles and went on many weeklong tours or just an afternoon ride with friends and family. He was a former employee of Lucent-Agere-AT&T-and whatever other names that company had for 19 years first as an Electronic Technician and later after squeezing in his second bachelor’s degree into 6 years become a Drafter. He was the owner of Brice Securities Locksmiths in Bethlehem.

As a young man, he reached the rank of Eagle Scout and loved encouraging young men to do the same. One of his prized possessions was an Eagle Scout Mentor Pin from his nephew Kevin Allen. He held firm to his belief in the U.S. Constitution and loved taking people out to the range to target shoot to teach safe handling of firearms the one place he was always serious. He was a Range Safety Officer in the Easton Fish and Game Assoc. He was rarely without a camera around his neck and won several photography awards. He loved Hiking and finding new places to see. He loved his job at Jim Thorpe Sidecar Tourz where he got paid to give people rides!

A Celebration of his Life and Graduation will be held February 26, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705. Family and friends may call Saturday morning from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to Care Net, or Christian Motorcyclists Association.
