James G. Taylor, Jr., 58 of the East End Section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Sunday September 12, 2021 at his home.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late James and Irene (Briar) Taylor, Sr.

Jim attended James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, and was an Army Veteran.  He also served with the Pennsylvania National Guard, 109 Field Artillery, and was employed for McCarthy Car Wash, East End, for 25 years as manager.

Jim had a great work ethic and also worked part time for Lowe’s and Home Depot and was well known for his detailing of cars.  Jim belonged to many clubs, organizations and Dart Leagues thought Wyoming Valley.  Most important to him were his daughters, Theresa and Lee Ann and grandson Thavian.

Preceding him in death are his Brother Robert Briar and his Sister Theresa Mikolajczyk.

Surviving are his Daughters, Theresa Taylor, Plains and Lee Ann Taylor, Wilkes-Barre, Grandson, Thavian Taylor, Brother Patrick Taylor, Wilkes-Barre, nephews and nieces.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 7:00 pm at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705, with Deacon Donald Crane, officiating.  Family and friends may call Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be held in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre, at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations if desired may be made to the charity of one’s choice in Jim’s memory.
