Jacqueline J. Atcavage

Jacqueline J. Atcavage, 74 of Plains Township, passed away Saturday evening, August 3, 2024 at Third Avenue Health and Rehab, Kingston, PA.

Born on March 9, 1950 in the Hilldale section of Plains Township, she was the daughter of the late Spartico and Margaret (Haggerty) Leonardi.

Jackie was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, Class of 1968.  She was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Church, Plains and was a homemaker all of her life.  Jackie worked odd jobs through her life, but her biggest accomplishment was being a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother to her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Joseph M. Atcavage, Sr. on July 2, 2007, sisters Shirley Leonardi, Betty Gubitoso and Sadie Mancini, brothers Eugene Leonardi and Robert Leonardi.

Surviving are her children Joseph Atcavage, Jr., and his wife Christine, Wilkes-Barre Township, and Courtney Zabresky, Plains, grandchildren Logan, Austin, Bailee, and Keely, several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 10:00 am at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, PA  18705, with Father John C. Lambert, Pastor, officiating.  The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on the Saints Peter and Paul FACEBOOK Page.  Interment will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.  Family and friends may call Wednesday morning from 9:00 am until 10:00 am at church.  Arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA  18705.
