Obituaries » Helen O. Centini (Potsko) October 30, 1927 - July 31, 2017 Helen O. Centini, formerly of the Keystone section of Plains Township, passed away Monday evening, July 31, 2017 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She currently was a resident at Partridge-Tippett Nursing Home, Wesley Village Campus, Jenkins Township. Born in Ashley on October 30, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Thomas & Anna (Hanzo) Potsko. Helen was a member of St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wilkes-Barre. Prior to her retirement, she was employed in the local garment industry and was a member of the I.L.G.W.U and proprietor of the Keystone Grocery Store. She lived for her family whom she loved so dearly. She loved to cook for her family and friends. Helen made what many say was the very best ravioli and cappelletti. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Camillo J. Centini, who passed away on August 3, 2000, sisters, infant Mary Potsko and Anna Cornell, brothers Andrew, John, George and Thomas Potsko. Surviving are her sons Barry Centini and his wife Carolyn, James Centini and his wife Lorraine, granddaughters Shelley Centini and her husband Jeremy Hrabal, Caryn Centini and her husband William Hall, Camille and Maria Centini, great-grandson Rex Hrabal, several nieces and nephews. Helen’s family would like to thank Dr. Charles Manganiello for his wonderful care that he provided to Mom and thank you to the entire staff of Wesley Village for their compassion and loving care they gave our Mom. Funeral Services for Helen will be held Friday, August 4, 2017 at 10:00 am in St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 667 North Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705, with Rev. Glen Triplette, officiating. Family and friends are asked to go directly to church. Entombment will be held in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville. Arrangements by the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.
