Helen L. Krall, 74 of the Hilldale section of Plains Township, passed away Wednesday morning, April 27, 2022 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Marie H. (Hufford) Briar.

Helen attended Elmer L. Meyers High School, and was a graduate of Empire Beauty School, both of Wilkes-Barre. Helen was employed as a seamstress from many years in the area garment factories and later as a hairdresser. She was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Church, Plains, a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star where she served as an officer, and the ILGWU.

She was preceded in death by her sister Marie Fenner.

Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Gerald F. Krall, Hilldale, brothers Steven Koonrad and his wife Maryann, Mountain Top, and Joseph Koonrad and his wife Darlene, nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 9:30 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, PA 18705, with Father John C. Lambert, Pastor, officiating. A Live stream of the funeral mass will be on Saints Peter & Paul Parish FACEBOOK page. Entombment will be held in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre. Family and friends may call Saturday morning from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at the funeral home.
