Helen E. Czernota, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Sunday afternoon, February 12, 2017 at ManorCare HCR, Kingston.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late William Vincent and Hedwig Margaret (Boczar) Czarnota.

Helen was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, and was employed by Roth American. She was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Church, Plains.

She was preceded in death by her brothers John and Joseph Czernota, and Stanley and Peter Czarnota.

Surviving are her sisters Eleanor and Mildred Czarnota, Wilkes-Barre, and her brother Richard Czarnota, Lancaster, PA.

Private funeral services will be held at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Saints Peter & Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, PA 18705 at the convenience of the family. Private interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
