On Tuesday March 18, 2014, God called our beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother, Helen Wolczyk, to join him in heaven. She peacefully began her journey home with her family by her side.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Shedlock) Dulsky.

Helen was a graduate of Jenkins Township High School and was employed as a Seamstress for Pioneer Dress Factory and was a homemaker all of her life.

She was a member of St. Benedict’s Church, Parsons, the Plains American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, was active in Veterans Affairs, and enjoyed going to the Mohegan Sun.  Helen was an avid gardener and enjoyed growing lots of veggies in her back yard and was a very talented and creative cook.  Family would always gather for many of her delicious meals, especially at the holidays.  We are fortunate that she taught her children some of her unique recipes.  We have many wonderful memories of her and her generous nature to always wanting to be there for her children and grandchildren whenever they needed her. Helen was always supportive of, took pride in, and loved her family very much.  She took care of us very well and will truly be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her brothers John and Joseph Dulsky, sisters Sophie Dougherty, Anne Giza, Mary Dooley, Jean Walkowiak, and Florence Snee.

Surviving are her husband of 63 years, John “Red” Wolczyk, son John Wolczyk, Jr., Wilkes-Barre,  daughters Jeanine Wolczyk, Wilkes-Barre, and Helene Breznay and her husband Brian, Plains, granddaughters Elizabeth Breznay, Plains, and Nicole Orlando, Wilkes-Barre, sisters Margaret McCarroll, Hampton, N.J., Josie Ward, Tacoma, Washington, Shirley Yonkoski, Laflin, several nieces & nephews.

Funeral will be held Friday at 9:15 am from the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Benedict’s Church, 155 Austin Avenue  Wilkes-Barre, PA  18705, with Father Joseph A. Kearney, Pastor, officiating.  Interment will be held in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton section of Wyoming.  Friends may call Thursday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
