Harold “Buddy” Golomb, 79, of Plains Township, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, January 21, 2018 at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, with his family at his side.

Born in Plains, Buddy was the son of the late Henry and Stella (Ostrowski) Golomb.

He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School, Plains, and attended the Pennsylvania State University, Hazleton Campus. He was a 3rd generation farmer and together with his family operated Golomb’s Farm and Greenhouses, Plains.

He enjoyed Penn State Football and listening to Polka music every Sunday, taking pride in his polish heritage. He was a member of the Plains Business Men’s Association and was involved in farm groups.

Harold was a dedicated church member of Saints Peter & Paul Church of Plains. He was an active member of the Holy Name Society and was an usher until the time of his passing.

He was preceded in death by his Sisters Lillian Roerig, Eleanor Finn and Patricia Maguire.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years the former Audrey Obuchowski Golomb; Son, Harold Golomb, at home and Daughter, Laura Kosco and her husband John, West Wyoming, Brother Bernard Golomb, Plains, Nephews, Nieces and Cousins.

Funeral services will be held Thursday January 25, 2018 at 9:00 am from the Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 South Main Street Plains, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in Saints Peter & Paul Church, Plains, with Father Joseph Greskiewicz and Father John Lambert officiating.

Interment will be in St. Mary’s Maternity Cemetery, West Wyoming.

Family and friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
