Grace J. Kozich, 95 and formerly of the Miners Mills section of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Friday afternoon, November 20, 2020 at United Methodist Homes, Wesley Village Campus, Pittston.

Born in Plains, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Agnes (Fugashefski)
Frashefski.

Grace was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, Class of 1942, and Wilkes-Barre Business College. She was employed as a secretary at Pressed Steel of Wilkes-Barre, until her retirement. She was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, North Wilkes-Barre.

In addition to her family, some of Grace’s greatest joys were mastering crossword puzzles, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, a Friday night pizza with a beer and cracking one-liner jokes.

She was preceded in death by her husband Michael A. Kozich on July 16, 1990, sister Dorothy Cupp and brothers Edward and Clarence Frashefski.

Surviving are her daughter Mary Beth Boyle and her husband Hugh, Plains, son Michael Kozich and his wife Gail, Mountain Top, grandchildren Alisa Scarantino and her husband Steve, Lauren Gardjulis and her husband Joe, Ryan Boyle and his wife Courtney, Ross Boyle and his wife Kristia, and Michael Kozich and his wife Christina, great-grandchildren Brenden, Nicholas, Ryan, Brielle, and Charlotte, with two additional great-grandchildren on the way, brother Richard Frashefski and his wife Sandi, South Carolina, nieces and nephews.

Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy will be held Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, 695 North Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705, with Father Michael Kerestes, Pastor, officiating. Those attending the funeral mass, please go directly to church Wednesday morning. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery, Dallas. Family and friends may call Wednesday morning at church from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Masks or face coverings are required at all times at the church and cemetery. Please practice social distancing when paying your respects. Arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.
