Frank Wojtash, 53 of the Hilldale Section of Plains Township, passed away Christmas Day, December 25, 2021 at Allied Services Hospice, Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre, after a courageous battle against Cancer.

Born in Fort Devens, Massachusetts, he was the son of Frank and Joanne (Usher) Wojtash of Edwardsville.

Frank was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, and Lock Haven University, earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education. He was employed as an Activities Specialist for the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections for 26 years until his retirement.

Frank was an avid Philadelphia Eagles Fan and was a member of the ITLO Club, Hilldale. Frank was the best Dad, family man, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Mary Wojtash, and Charles and Wilma Usher, and his mother-in-law Kathy Rice.

Surviving in addition to his parents Frank and Joanne, are his wife of 26 years, the former Kathy Evans, sons Frank and Zachary Wojtash, all of Hilldale, sister Jennifer Hartman and her husband Eric, Nanticoke, niece Morgan Crespo and her husband Brandon, and nephew Ryan Hartman.

Frank’s Family would like to thank Dr. Bruce Saidman for the wonderful care and support given to Frank during his battle against Cancer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 10:00 am at Saints Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains, PA 18705, with Father John C. Lambert, Pastor, officiating. A Live Stream of the Funeral Mass will be on Saints Peter & Paul Parish FACEBOOK page. Inurnment will be held in the Parish Cemetery, Plains Twp. Family and friends may call Thursday morning at church from 9:00 am until the time of Mass. Arrangements entrusted to the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.

Memorial donations may be made to the Medical Oncology Prescription Assistance Fund, 382 Pierce Street, Kingston, PA 18704, in Frank’s Memory.
