Elizabeth Jane West

Elizabeth Jane (Shovlin) West, 67 of Harveys Lake, PA, passed away Saturday morning, October 21, 2023 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born December 17, 1955 in Passaic New Jersey, daughter of the late Charles P. and Shirley M. (Watkins) Shovlin.

Betty Jane was a graduated of Wyoming Area High School, Class of 1972.

She was employed at Diamond Auto Glass, Corey’s Place and Brody’s Closet. She was a member of Harveys Lake Counsel for 13 years and an active member of the Harveys Lake Fire Department for 35 years and the current President.  She will be missed beyond measured and never forgotten.

Surviving are her husband Lawrence West, children Patricia Ann West and Charles Matthew West and his wife Andrea, grandchildren Matthew Charles West and Charleigh Maye West, sisters Shirley Ann Shovlin Mallory and her husband Paul, and Patricia Susan Shovlin Pernot and her husband Gerard, nieces and nephew Katie Pernot-Moyer and her husband Kody, Kerry Graeber and her husband Jeffrey, Brandon Pernot, Kaitlyn and Jacob Parsons, great nephews who she loved and adored, Jeffrey and Jack Graeber, Carter, Everett and Liam Moyer.

Funeral Services for Betty Jane will be held Friday, October 27, 2023 at 10:00 am at the Corcoran Funeral Home, Inc., 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA  18705, with Rev. Lawrence D. Reed, her pastor, officiating.  Entombment will be held in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Memorial Highway, Dallas.  Family and friends may call Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
